Community projects at The Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa

Concern for the environment and the local community, as well as promoting long term sustainability, are all integral to our strategic vision for the hotel and estate. We aim to follow and develop best practice within the industry to reduce the environmental impact of all our activities and do what we can to help ensure our guests do the same.

We've joined the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS), an initiative that ensures we are continuously investing our efforts into going green. We're also committed to preserving and protecting the surrounding landscape and make all partners and suppliers aware of our vision towards becoming as sustainable as possible.

How we're helping those in our local community

Our team are also committed to working with local charities and fundraising initiatives within the community. On average, the hotel and estate raise in excess of £100,000 for charities such as Manorlands and Principle Trust every year. We also donate over £10,000 worth of gift vouchers for local fundraising initiatives to support nearby schools and associations.
